With more than twenty-five years of management and consulting experience, Michael Badger specializes in organizational and individual assessment, managerial and leadership development and career/life transition coaching. Michael has a demonstrated record both as a successful entrepreneur and as an advisor to managers and executives.

Consulting for many years on issues relating to career management and development, Michael co-founded Ward Associates in 1982. Ward Associates subsequently became one of the West’s largest regional executive outplacement/career management firms with offices in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Menlo Park. President of the organization in 1990, he sold it to Lee Hecht Harrison and took on the role of Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Northwest operations. Earlier in his career, Michael held a Senior Consultant role with the firm of Rohrer, Hibler & Replogle, an international corporate psychology firm specializing in managerial assessments and executive development.

Michael is an organizational psychologist with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon and a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from Syracuse University.

Professional / Community Affiliations Past and Present
In addition to his professional affiliations with the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Human Resource Planning Society, he is quite active in his community, in recent years chairing both the Seattle-King County Chapter of the American Red Cross and Leadership Tomorrow. Previous board leadership involvements included Food Lifeline, the Committee for Children, and Cinema Seattle.
